How to make Paneer Bhurji

To make Paneer Bhurji we will take the paneer and grate it by using a grater. Keep the grated paneer aside.

Now take the tomatoes and chop them, chop the onions too, as you can see I have added the whole green chilies because my family does not eat too much spicy food. But it you love eating spicy then you can chop the green chilies too.

Take the ginger and garlic and chop them both together.

Take the cumin seeds and keep it handy.

Now we are going to start the process of cooking so heat the 2 tbsp of oil in a pan or a kadhai.

We will add the cumin seeds into the hot oil now, immediately the cumin seeds will start crackling, so you can lower the flame.

Add the chopped onions and stir on a low flame.

Now add the chopped ginger and chopped garlic into the recipe and increase the flame to high and sauté. A lovely aroma will start coming out from the pan.

When the onions turn brown in color add the chopped tomatoes and green chilies.

Saute till the tomatoes mixes well with the onions.

Now we will add the turmeric powder, red chili powder and garam masala and sauté for a minute.

Add the sugar and salt to the recipe now according to your taste and stir cook for one more minute.

Now add ½ cup of water as this will help the spices to blend well and the tomatoes to dissolve properly. Cook for few minutes. You can cover and cook too.

Once when you feel the aroma of the spices, add the grated paneer now.

Stir for five minutes or till all the spices are well blended with grated paneer.

Our flavorsome Paneer Bhurji is now ready. You can also garnish it with coriander leaves.
